You only add internal links to NEW posts. That's backwards.
Everyone links forward — new post points to old ones. Nobody goes back and links the old, already-indexed, already-trusted pages TO the new one. So fresh posts launch with zero internal juice and crawl slow.
My publish checklist now:
— Find 3-5 older posts that mention the new topic
— Drop a contextual link from each into the new post
— Prioritize the older pages that already get traffic
The authority you already earned is sitting idle. Spend it on the new kid.
