The quote attributed to a ghost

The quote attributed to a ghost

A wellness brand sent a sharp, quotable reaction to a trending nutrition story. The reporter loved the line and asked one question that ended everything: "Who's saying this — what are their credentials?" The answer was "our brand team." No named human, no title, no expertise. The quote died on the desk.

Reporters can't attribute insight to a logo. A quote needs a person a reader can trust, ideally one with a reason to know the topic. The brand had a registered dietitian on staff the whole time — they'd just never put her name forward.

We built a proper expert roster: three named spokespeople, each with a one-line credential, a headshot, and pre-cleared availability windows. Every reactive quote now ships attached to a real, qualified human.

The same nutrition beat came round again a month later. This time the dietitian was quoted by name in 5 outlets, one of which added "according to [Name], RD" — the kind of attribution that also feeds AI answer engines and entity recognition.

Lesson: brands don't get quoted, people do. If your sharpest reaction has no name and no credential behind it, you're handing reporters a quote they're not allowed to use.
