Popular advice: "Reply to your own email with 'just bumping this to the top' so it resurfaces."
Myth. A bump adds zero new information and tells them exactly one thing: you have nothing else to say. They didn't miss your email; they ranked it and lost. The follow-up that converts changes the offer or the angle — a new asset, a different deliverable, a reason that didn't exist on day one. It's not persistence they reward, it's a second reason to care. Bumping is just persistence with no reason attached.
