Pulled retention curves on 12 of my Reels yesterday. Fast-cut intros (3 cuts in first 3s) held ~70% to second 3. Slow-burn single-shot intros dropped to ~48% by second 3.
— Exception: a slow zoom on a shocking visual held fine. Movement is the real driver, not cut count.
If your first 3 seconds is one static shot of you talking, you're bleeding half the audience.
Today: add ONE camera move or cut before the 3-second mark. Re-check the drop-off.
