Mistake: treating outreach as send-and-pray
Failure mode: you DM 50 creators, 6 reply, you book 2, and you call it a bad list. The list was fine. You had no follow-up cadence, so 80% of warm leads died in silence.
Fix: a fixed 4-touch sequence with triggers, not moods.
— Touch 1 (Day 0): personalized open, one specific reference to their content, the offer in one line
— Touch 2 (Day 3): if no reply, send the rate range + one proof number ("our last creator did 1.8% CVR")
— Touch 3 (Day 7): if no reply, send a 90-second Loom of the product
— Touch 4 (Day 14): if no reply, the breakup line ("closing your slot, reopen anytime")
Decision rule: any reply moves them out of the sequence into the deal pipeline. No reply after Touch 4 = archive, requeue in 90 days.
Checklist:
— Cadence lives in your CRM with auto-reminders, not your head
— Each touch adds new value, never just "bumping this"
— Archive date logged for the 90-day requeue
Replies live in the follow-up, not the first message.
