Q: Most affiliates I recruit go dormant — what am I doing wrong?
The usual mistake is treating recruitment as the finish line. A partner who signs up and hears nothing for 30 days is gone — your link is buried under ten programs that onboarded them properly.
The fix is a structured first 90 days:
— Day 0: a short welcome with their link, top creatives, and your best-converting offer — not a 40-page PDF.
— Day 7: check if they've placed a link. If not, one personal nudge.
— Day 30: send their first stats, even if small. Seeing $12 earned beats seeing silence.
— Day 60-90: flag anyone with zero clicks for a re-engagement email or a quiet removal.
Caveat: don't confuse activity with value. Some partners legitimately ramp slowly; judge by trajectory, not week-one numbers. A blogger publishing a review next month isn't dormant — they're cooking.
