Two real stories beat a page of opinions

Two real stories beat a page of opinions

A startup founder tested what kind of answer writers actually use.

1. "Opinion" answers ("I think remote work boosts focus"): he sent 10, none were used.
2. "Story" answers ("When we went remote, our 8-person team shipped a project 2 weeks early"): he sent 10, three were used.

Same topic, very different result. Writers can get opinions anywhere. A real story from your own work is something only you can give them.

Think of it like show-and-tell — "here's the actual thing that happened" beats "here's what I believe."

The shape that worked: name the situation, then what happened, with one number in it. "8-person team, 2 weeks early" is concrete enough to print.

Try this today: replace one opinion in your next answer with a short true story from your own experience, and slip in one number.
