Your answer's too buried to win the box
Today's lesson: a featured snippet is that boxed answer Google shows above everything else, like the teacher reading the best answer to the whole class.
Real example: search what is a kilowatt-hour and a short paragraph appears up top, with a website credited below it.
The mistake: a page DOES answer the question — but the answer hides in paragraph nine, after a long story. Google can't find the clean reply, so a rival wins the box.
The fix:
— Put the direct answer in the first 40-50 words, right under a heading that matches the question.
— Use the same words people search (a kilowatt-hour is...).
— Save the backstory for after the answer.
Think of it like a recipe card: ingredients first, life story later.
Try this: open a post that should win a snippet and move the real answer to the very top. 🎓
