VWO vs AB Tasty: I picked the ugly one
Day 1 of vendor week. Demoed both for a checkout test.
AB Tasty has the prettier widget editor. VWO felt like a 2014 dashboard.
But here's the gut call: VWO's SmartStats (Bayesian) let me call a test at day 9 instead of waiting for fixed-horizon significance. AB Tasty's reporting wanted me to pre-commit sample size or stare at a frequentist p-value.
For my velocity? Bayesian wins. I ship 3 tests a week, not 3 a quarter.
If you run one big test a month, the pretty editor is worth it. If you're sweating volume, take the ugly stats engine.
Go check which stats model your tool uses before your next call. Report back.
