A source described an affiliate running exchange offers in emerging Asian markets entirely through WhatsApp broadcast lists — where the audience lives, not on Twitter.
The reported setup:
— 11 broadcast lists, ~256 contacts each (WhatsApp's cap), opt-in only
— Native-language market updates 2x/week, ref link contextual
— ~12% of contacts funded an exchange account over 3 months
— ~$3,800/month on a low-CPA regional deal, near-zero ad spend
The so-what: in markets where WhatsApp is the internet, broadcast lists out-convert any Western channel. The opt-in keeps it clean and ban-resistant. The constraint is manual scale — he hired two locals to manage lists in-language.
