She changed only her opening line — and got noticed

A social media pro tested how she started her answers. The numbers were small but clear.

1. First batch: she opened with "Hi, I'd love to help with this." 2 of 20 used.
2. Second batch: she opened with her answer's main point in the first line. 5 of 20 used.

Example second-batch opener: "Posting on Sunday evenings doubled my client's reach." The writer sees the gold in line one.

Why it works: writers decide in seconds whether to keep reading. Lead with the useful part, not a greeting.

Think of it like a newspaper headline — the best part goes on top, not buried on page four.

A "hook" is just your most interesting point, placed first. No clever wordplay needed — clear beats clever.

Try this today: rewrite your next answer so the most useful sentence comes first.
