Publishing daily instead of weekly raised whole-site crawl 2.2x.

"Crawl budget is fixed per site." Not quite — crawl demand responds to your behavior.

A B2B blog published once a week and complained Google crawled them lazily. They shifted to one quality post daily for 90 days, same topics, no new backlinks in the window.

Google's crawl-demand model rewards hosts that reliably produce content worth fetching. Crawl stats showed total daily fetches climb 2.2x over the quarter — not just on new posts, on archives too. Google was checking back more often because the site had become "fresh."

Here's the thing — crawl budget isn't a static allowance. It's partly earned by being worth crawling.

No, Google didn't grant you more. You made yourself more interesting.

Consistency is a crawl signal. Sporadic sites get sporadic attention.
