The exterminator who planned for the swarm
Meet a pest control company in Orlando. Steady year-round, but every May the searches for "ant exterminator" and "mosquito control near me" exploded — and they ranked nowhere for the seasonal surge that should have been their gold rush.
The problem: their site had one generic "Pest Control" page. No dedicated pages for the specific pests that spiked seasonally, so when intent peaked, Google had nothing specific to rank.
In February — three months early — we built individual landing pages for ants, mosquitoes, termites, and roaches, each with local detail, Florida-specific seasonality, and pricing, then linked them from the profile and seeded matching Q&A.
For weeks the pages sat quietly with thin traffic, and the owner wondered why we'd front-loaded work for a slow season.
Then May hit, and the pages were already aged and indexed.
The mosquito page ranked position 2 for the near-me query at peak; seasonal bookings rose 48% over the prior year.
The lesson: local seasonal demand rewards the patient — build and age your specific pages months before the spike, because pages that rank in May had to exist in February.
