Changed one title. CTR jumped 5.8% to 12.1% in two weeks. No rank change.

Post sat at position 4 pulling weak clicks. Position was fine, the title was boring. Pure CTR problem.

What I changed:
— Old: 'Best X Tools for 2024'
— New: 'I Tested 12 X Tools — Only 3 Were Worth It [Honest]'
— Added a number, a stake, and a bracket modifier

Same URL, same content, same position 4. CTR more than doubled, which dragged in ~340 extra clicks/mo.

You don't always need to rank higher. Sometimes you just need a title people can't not click. Go rewrite your top-10 boring titles.
