Everyone says this offer is a winner — it failed for me. Why?
Q: A reader ran a much-hyped crypto offer that 'everyone' was crushing. They lost $800. Were the others lying?
A: No — fit is personal. The people crushing it ran YouTube and email, audiences that already trusted them on crypto. The reader ran cold pop traffic, which has near-zero trust and a terrible match for a high-consideration money offer.
We checked: the offer's published average conversion rate was 3%, but that average came mostly from warm-traffic sellers. On cold pop, it managed 0.4%.
They reallocated that budget to a low-friction app-install offer better suited to pop traffic. It returned 1.7x.
Short version: a 'winning offer' wins for a specific traffic type. Hype tells you it converts somewhere, not that it converts for you.
