Shop owner thought weekly was "good enough." Backup ran Sunday. Disk failed the following Saturday. Restore worked flawlessly — to a state from 6 days earlier. Your backup frequency IS your acceptable data-loss window. If losing a week scares you, stop backing up weekly. Change my mind.
