I rewrote a 'best of' list and got added in 4 days

Found a resource page ranking page 1 for my keyword. It listed 12 tools. Two were dead, one acquired.

I emailed the curator: "Quick heads up — #3 and #9 on your list shut down. Also [my thing] fits the list, here's why in one line."

I led with the broken stuff, asked second.

Added in 4 days. Then I asked if they took guest contributions. Yes. Got a follow-up article placed two weeks later off that one warm thread.

Fix their page first. Pitch never. Go do it.
