Q: People comment 'how much?' but never buy. Is there a fix that actually recovers those?
A: A candle seller treated 'how much / where' comments as warm leads instead of noise. For two weeks they replied to every price comment within an hour with the exact price plus 'tap the cart pin at the bottom to order.' On 312 such comments, 47 converted to orders, about 15%. The control week, where comments sat unanswered, recovered roughly 3%.
The insight: a price question is a buyer mid-decision. A fast, specific reply with the literal buy instruction closes a meaningful slice.
Also worth knowing: speed mattered more than wording. Replies after 6 hours converted near the unanswered baseline.
