OneLink (Amazon's geo-redirect tool) audit on a recipe blog. Traffic split: 71% US, 14% UK, 9% CA, 6% rest. n=9,200 international sessions/30 days.
Before OneLink, non-US clicks hit a US storefront they couldn't check out on.
— UK clicks converting: 0.4% to 3.6%
— CA clicks converting: 0.6% to 4.1%
— Net order lift: +22% with no new content
Setup took 40 minutes. The UK associate tag alone added $380/month at the site's existing CTR.
So what: if more than 10% of clicks are foreign and you have no OneLink, you're refunding Amazon for free.
