I baited 23 experts into linking back
Ran an expert roundup: emailed 60 people one question, used 23 answers. Standard so far. Here's the part nobody does.
When it published I sent each contributor: "You're live, here's the embed badge + a tweet drafted for you."
14 shared it. But 5 of them ALSO asked to return the favor and let me guest post on their site.
The roundup wasn't the win. It was the warm intro to 5 donors who now owe me one.
