Q: Does publishing consistently in one niche actually build "topic trust," or is that made up?

Q: Does publishing consistently in one niche actually build "topic trust," or is that made up?

Short answer: it's real, and it compounds. A new pet-health site published nothing but dog-nutrition content for 6 months, 3 posts a week, all tightly interlinked, no off-topic filler.

By month 4, new posts in that niche started ranking within 8-10 days of publishing instead of the 6-8 weeks early posts took. Same domain authority, same backlink profile, just deeper topical coverage.

The measurable signal: time-to-first-page dropped from ~50 days to ~9 days for new dog-nutrition articles.

In practice: once a site demonstrates broad, consistent coverage of one subject, new pages in that subject get a faster trust benefit. Spreading across 5 unrelated niches kills this.
