One HARO play, 38 DR70+ links, and a 22-spot jump
Word is a mid-tier project management SaaS ran a single quarter of pure digital PR and nothing else. We pulled their Ahrefs new-referring-domains graph and the story is clean.
What the footprint shows:
— 38 fresh links from DR70+ publishers in 11 weeks (Business Insider, TechRadar, three regional newspapers syndicated out)
— anchor split: 81% branded/naked URL, zero exact-match — they kept it boring on purpose
— all pointed at the homepage and one stats-roundup page they built as link bait
The outcome you can see in the index: their head term 'project management software' crept from page 3 to position 9 over the same window, and that one stats page now ranks for 140+ informational queries it didn't touch before.
The tell: no link velocity spike on money pages, just authority pooled at the top and flowed down internally. Textbook. Watch this space.
