Case study: a manual bid below the suggested floor still worked

Case study: a manual bid below the suggested floor still worked

New to bidding? Don't assume the suggested number is law.

LinkedIn suggested a bid of $14 per click for one healthcare advertiser. That felt high. So they switched from automatic bidding to Manual Bidding (where you set the price you'll pay yourself).

Step by step:
— Set the manual bid to $7, half the suggestion
— Kept the campaign running and watched for 10 days

Result: the ads still delivered, just a little slower. Cost per click landed at $6.40, and they got 90 percent of their old click volume for 55 percent of the price.

Why it matters: "suggested" is a starting point, not a rule. LinkedIn often wins the auction for less.

Next step: try manual bidding at 60 percent of the suggested amount. Watch delivery for a week.
