He published Christmas pins in September and won the season
A printable-planner seller used to post his holiday designs in late November, then wonder why sales never matched the effort. His Christmas pins peaked in mid-December — right as the buying window was closing.
We rebuilt the calendar around one fact: Pinterest searches for a season start roughly 90 days early, and pins need weeks to gain distribution. So his holiday set went live in mid-September.
By early December those pins had aged into their stride. His 'Christmas planner' pin hit 22,000 impressions for the season versus about 4,000 the year before. Holiday sales from Pinterest roughly doubled, and the work was calmer because nothing was last-minute.
Takeaway: On Pinterest you plant in the off-season and harvest in the peak. Publish seasonal content 90 days ahead so the algorithm has time to find it before buyers arrive.
