I stole 41 links from a competitor's footer
Last Tuesday I pulled my biggest competitor's homepage source, Ctrl+F'd 'guest post by' and 'words by'. Their writer's name showed up on 41 different blogs.
What I did:
— Googled "[writer name] author" → got every site they pitched
— Scraped all 41 into a sheet
— Pitched the same editors, same angle, different writer (me)
28 replied. 16 said yes. I cloned their entire link footprint in 9 days.
The move: find ONE prolific writer in your niche. Their byline is a pre-vetted donor list someone already qualified for you.
