Migrated a 140-page SaaS blog from Elementor to Bricks
We rebuilt a client's content site over three weeks. Elementor 3.21 was shipping ~480KB of CSS/JS before a single image loaded. Rebuilt the same templates in Bricks 1.9 with native query loops.
Results across 20 sampled URLs:
— Median page weight dropped 612KB to 211KB
— Mobile LCP fell from 3.9s to 1.7s
— DOM nodes per article cut roughly 40% (no wrapper-div soup)
Pros:
— Big real-world weight win, not synthetic
— Bricks loops replaced two third-party addons
Cons:
— ~6 hours per template type to rebuild
— Editors needed retraining; the UI is denser
Best for: content-heavy sites where Elementor bloat is your actual LCP bottleneck, not a vanity metric.
