A crypto-news page added one repeatable step: every meme got a pinned comment that 'corrected' the joke wrongly on purpose.
— Trigger: people can't resist replying to a confidently wrong take.
— Step 1: post the meme normally.
— Step 2: pin a comment with a deliberate, plausible error.
— Step 3: never reply — let the crowd fight it.
Output over 20 posts: comment counts jumped from a ~40 median to 870 median. Algorithm treated the thread depth as quality and pushed reach up 3.2x.
The bait was a reusable input: any meme + one wrong 'fact.'
QA pass: error must be arguable, not insulting; you stay silent.
