Admin and processing fees turn a 40% RevShare into ~33% effective
The headline RevShare rate is computed on NGR, but NGR itself is defined net of a stack of operator deductions — and those deductions are where a generous-looking rate quietly shrinks.
What's typically subtracted before your share is calculated:
— Payment processing fees: 2-4% of deposits.
— Bonus costs allocated to NGR: 5-15% depending on promo intensity.
— Gaming taxes / licensing levies (especially regulated EU): 5-20% in some GEOs.
— Platform / admin fee: 0-5%.
Worked through a 40% headline deal in a taxed EU GEO:
— Gross gaming revenue: $1,000.
— After bonuses, processing, 15% gaming tax, admin: NGR ~$680.
— Your 40% of $680 = $272, i.e. ~27% of gross.
The same 40% rate in a low-tax GEO with light promos might leave NGR at $850, paying you $340 — a 25% difference in real income from the identical headline rate.
Always ask: is gaming tax deducted before or after the RevShare split? It's the single biggest swing.
Benchmark of the day: in taxed EU GEOs a 40% headline RevShare commonly nets ~27-33% effective once tax and bonus deductions hit NGR — compare effective, never headline.
