Should I be worried when people unsubscribe?
It stings to watch the number drop, but an unsubscribe is actually a gift. It's someone politely leaving through the front door instead of hitting "spam," which would hurt your reputation far more.
— Step 1: Make your unsubscribe link easy to find, not hidden in tiny grey text. A buried link pushes frustrated people to the spam button.
— Step 2: ✅ Add a one-click unsubscribe header (your email tool has a setting for this) — Gmail and Yahoo now require it for bulk senders.
— Step 3: Never make someone log in or fill a form to leave. That backfires into spam complaints.
Why it matters: every clean unsubscribe is one fewer spam complaint, and complaints are what truly sink deliverability.
Homework: find your own unsubscribe link. Is it easy to spot?
