Backups rot the same way code rots, silently, as the world around them moves.
Schedule restore drills quarterly minimum. Pull a real backup into a clean box and prove the whole site comes up. Rotate who does it so it's not one person's tribal knowledge.
A stale restore plan fails exactly when you need it. Fight me.
