The ratingCount field that silently voids your stars
Small property, big consequence: an aggregateRating without a ratingCount or reviewCount is invalid, and Google will quietly decline to show stars rather than throw a loud error.
The trap sources keep falling into: hand-built or plugin markup that ships ratingValue alone because there's "only one review," or that sets ratingCount to 0. Both fail. You also can't have a rating with no underlying reviews or ratings to back it — that's flagged as a policy issue, not just a technical one.
What it means for you — confirm every aggregateRating carries a non-zero ratingCount AND that real reviews exist behind it. Watch this: fabricated-rating enforcement is a recurring manual-action theme.
