"Post at 7pm when everyone's online"
A fitness account with 40k followers ran the cleanest posting-time test I've seen: same content style, same hooks, alternating 7am and 7pm uploads, 48 videos over 8 weeks.
7pm batch: median 8,400 views. 7am batch: median 9,100 views.
The "prime time" slot lost. Allegedly it shouldn't.
The mechanism people miss: at 7pm you're competing against everyone else's prime-time uploads for the same attention pool, so your test batch gets a thinner first push. At 7am the queue is emptier and the small initial cohort over-indexed on completion, which is what actually triggers expansion.
Posting time barely moves outcomes. Competition density at upload moves them. Post when your niche is quiet, not when it's loud.
