What it does well:
— Hides a URL from Google results in hours, not days
— Great emergency button for a leaked or wrong page
— 'Outdated content' removal also clears stale cached snippets

Where it falls short:
— It's a ~6-month HIDE, not a delete — after that the URL returns unless you've added a real noindex or 404/410
— It only affects Google; the page stays in Bing
— People use it as a permanent fix, then panic when the URL reappears

Pros: instant, free, perfect for emergencies
Cons: temporary, Google-only, false sense of permanence

Best for: stopping the bleeding while you deploy a proper noindex/410.
NOT for: permanent removal — always pair it with a real de-index directive or the page comes back.
