The subject line that gets opened
"Guest post inquiry" = instant delete. Editors trained to skip it.
Mine names their content: "your CRO post is missing one thing". Curiosity + it's about THEM, not me.
No "guest," no "collaboration," no "quick question." Those scream pitch.
A/B'd two subject lines over 60 sends — the specific-callout one opened at 52% vs 19% for the generic. Same body.
The subject does 80% of the job. Sweat it more than the pitch.
Go do it.
