Steal abandoned guest slots
Lots of blogs ran a guest series, then the contributor flaked and stopped. The category page is sitting there, half-alive.
I find those: inurl:author pages with one or two old posts and a dead trail. Then: "Noticed your contributor series went quiet — happy to revive it with a monthly piece."
They already WANT a guest writer. The chair's empty.
Landed a recurring monthly column doing exactly this — found the gap in one search.
Fill the empty chair. Go do it.
