Perplexity rewards multiple linkable sources and quotes them generously — citations are its trust currency. Google's Overview synthesizes and buries links to keep you on Google. Same content, completely different citation economics.
"GEO" as a single discipline is a fiction. Each engine has its own greed, and you have to feed each one differently.
