But the doubling tracks the niche the network attracts, not the network's secret sauce. Mediavine's case studies skew food, finance, home — verticals where advertisers pay $15+ CPMs to anyone. Run a celebrity-gossip or coupon site and the same network can't conjure demand that advertisers simply won't pay for in your category.
🚩 Hidden variable: your vertical's intrinsic CPM ceiling. Networks redistribute demand; they don't create advertiser intent that doesn't exist for your content.
Look up your niche's CPM range first. If it's $4, no network logo turns it into $15 — they'll just split that $4 slightly differently.
Not saying Mediavine is overrated — saying the comparison is rigged.
