Flexbox-based containers became standard, but true CSS Grid control separates modern builders from legacy ones.

Bricks and Elementor's Grid Container (3.x) both expose native CSS Grid with template-columns and gap controls — no row/column wrapper hacks. Divi 4 and WPBakery still fake grids with stacked flex columns, adding wrappers and breaking on uneven content heights.

Pros (native grid):
— Equal-height cards, true 2D layout, fewer wrapper divs
— Reflows cleanly without media-query gymnastics
Cons (native grid):
— Older browsers aside, the learning curve trips drag-and-drop users
Cons (faked grid):
— Wrapper bloat and the classic uneven-card-height bug

Verdict: native Grid support is now a baseline, not a bonus — legacy builders feel dated here.

Best for: card and gallery layouts where uneven content height is a recurring headache.
