Click ID lifecycle — trace it end to end

The click ID is the only thread connecting spend to revenue. Know where it can snap.

Walk the full path and verify the ID at each handoff:
— 1. Generated at the source. The ad platform mints its click ID and writes it into the macro ({clickid}). Confirm the macro is in your tracking URL — not the literal string "{clickid}".
— 2. Captured by your tracker. On the first hop, your tracker stores it against its own internal click ID. Both now coexist.
— 3. Passed to the offer. Your tracker appends ITS click ID to the offer URL as a sub parameter. Confirm it's in the final landing URL.
— 4. Returned on postback. The network fires back the sub parameter you gave it. Your tracker matches it to the stored row and attributes the conversion.

Where it snaps, in order of frequency:
— Macro not expanding (you see "{clickid}" in logs) — wrong macro syntax for that source.
— Lost across a redirect hop — an intermediate URL drops query params.
— Network echoes the WRONG parameter back — you passed s2, they return s1.

Test by clicking live and grepping your own click ID through every URL in the chain.

Run this before every launch.
