Let me tell you about my worst habit. Every opener was a question: "Want to know how I got 1M views?" It felt engaging. It held 44% at three seconds.
Here's the thing — a yes/no question gives the viewer an exit. They answer "no" in their head and scroll. So I converted it to a declarative claim with a built-in gap: "One change took this from 1k to 1M views."
The result: three-second retention went 44% to 67%, and shares went from 80 to 310.
The lesson: questions invite an answer, and one of the answers is "leave." A statement that implies a secret can't be dismissed with a silent "no." Make a claim, not a query.
