The scaled-publishing throttle
Dumping 100k pages live in one day looks like spam to Google and gives you no diagnostic signal. Throttle the rollout.
The release schedule:
1. Cohort size — Owner: SEO. Release in cohorts sized to 5–10 percent of your existing indexed pages, never more. Gate: cohort size documented.
2. Interval — minimum 7 days between cohorts. Gate: no overlap.
3. Read the cohort — before the next release, check: indexed ratio, average position, any manual action notices. Gate: indexed ratio holding above your batch-1 baseline.
4. Kill switch — if indexed ratio drops two cohorts in a row, halt. Investigate before continuing. Gate: trend, not a single dip.
5. Log the cohort ID — stamp each page with its release cohort so you can correlate performance to batch later.
— Slow rollout is also your A/B harness: change one template variable per cohort
— A sudden 100k spike with falling index ratio is the classic pSEO faceplant
Ship gate: don't release the next cohort until the prior one clears the indexed-ratio gate.
