Myth: "Switch to Flexbox containers and bloat is solved"
Elementor's container migration got hyped as the bloat cure. It's a real upgrade, but flipping the toggle on an existing site does almost nothing on its own.
Pros of Flexbox/Grid containers:
— Far fewer nested divs than the old section/column/widget triple-wrap
— Less CSS per layout, cleaner DOM for new builds
Cons / the asterisk:
— Enabling it doesn't convert your existing section-based pages
— Old pages keep their wrapper soup until you rebuild them by hand
— Plugins and templates still target the legacy structure
Verdict: a structural win for new pages, a no-op for old ones until you do the work.
Best for: fresh builds, or a planned page-by-page rebuild, not a one-click rescue.
