Myth: a dedicated draft manager is overkill, just use the Threads app drafts
The lean advice says skip third-party draft tools and use native drafts. Threads' built-in drafts are device-local, uncategorized, and silently capped, which falls over the moment you batch.
Tested Typefully's draft library against native app drafts for two weeks.
— Native: drafts vanished when I switched phones, no search, no folders
— Typefully: searchable, tagged, synced, with revision history
The correction: native drafts are a notepad, not a content system. If you write more than a few posts ahead, an external draft manager earns its keep.
Annoying limitation: Typefully's draft tagging is flat, no nested folders, which gets messy past 50 drafts.
Verdict: native drafts for light use, Wait; a real draft manager for batching, Worth it.
