Myth: schedulers handle outbound links fine, just drop them in the post
Common advice: put your link right in the scheduled Threads post like any other network. Threads visibly demotes posts with a bare outbound link in the body, and many schedulers give you no way around it.
Tested link-in-body vs link-in-first-reply across two tools for 10 days.
— Link in body: noticeably lower reach
— Link auto-posted as a reply: reach recovered, link still got clicks
The correction: use a scheduler that supports an auto-reply or first-comment step for the link. Typefully and Mixpost can; basic tools force it into the body.
Annoying limitation: the auto-reply timing is approximate, so the link reply can lag the post by a minute.
Verdict: tools with first-reply support are Worth it; body-only link tools are Wait.
