"Modern builders handle responsive automatically, don't worry about it" is a myth that ships broken mobile.
Auto-layout and stack components give you responsive-ish for free, and that "ish" is exactly where it bites. The defaults guess, and the guess fails on tap targets, long words that overflow, and the 320px screens nobody tests on. The correction: "automatic" means a sane starting point, not a finished job — you still set breakpoints intentionally, check real device widths, and fix what the algorithm couldn't know about your content. Trusting the default is how you ship a thumb-unfriendly mess.
The correction: auto is a draft, you finish mobile by hand. Fight me in the comments.
