How to repurpose a winner without cannibalizing it
Everyone says: "Just repost your best stuff, new people haven't seen it."
Lazy reposting trains your audience to scroll. Do it like an editor:
— Wait at least 90 days. Reach overlap fades; memory doesn't, that fast.
— Change the angle, not the wording. Same lesson, new opening scenario.
— Pull a fresh data point or a result that happened since. Now it's an update, not a rerun.
— Never repost two winners back-to-back. The audience clocks the pattern instantly.
— Track if the repost beats your median. If it underperforms the original by half, the idea was time-bound.
Repurpose the insight, retire the sentences.
It's not that reposting fails. It's that copy-paste tells your best readers you've run out.
