Casino LTV runs ~1.8-2.4x sportsbook in matched cohorts
The advice: chase sports bettors, they're loyal and high-value. Loyalty yes; per-head value usually no.
Matched-cohort data, ~20 operators offering both verticals, 6-month LTV:
— Sportsbook player LTV: ~$210-$290. High engagement, but low hold (operator margin ~5-7% of stakes) and sharp bettors clip the edge.
— Casino player LTV: ~$480-$610. Lower session frequency, but house edge of 2-15% compounds on far higher wager velocity.
— Ratio: casino ~1.8-2.4x sportsbook on net value to the operator, which is what your RevShare is paid on.
The correction: sportsbook converts beautifully (low-friction, event-driven) and is great for CPA volume. But RevShare economics live and die on operator hold, and casino hold dwarfs sports. If your deal is RevShare, casino traffic is structurally worth more per head.
▸ Exception: live/in-play sports narrows the gap, and casino cross-sell from a sports signup is the highest-LTV path of all.
Benchmark of the day: RevShare on casino out-values sportsbook ~2x per player; run sports on CPA, casino on RevShare.
