<b>The intro price is a loan you repay forever</b>
Myth: "$2.95/mo — what a deal."
Look at the renewal column, not the signup column. That $2.95 becomes $11.99 — a 4x jump — and it's locked to a 36-month term so the headline looks cheapest.
The math the affiliate won't run: $2.95 × 36 promo months versus $11.99 × 36 after. You pay $106 to enter and $431 to stay. The "discount" is front-loaded debt.
Follow the money: the affiliate earns a flat bounty on signup. They get paid whether you renew at 4x or rage-quit. Your year three isn't their problem.
Reality: the cheap number is bait; the renewal number is the actual price.
