Why did this email "bounce"?
A bounce is just an email that couldn't be delivered and came back to you, like a letter stamped "return to sender." There are two kinds, and they need different responses.
A hard bounce means the address is dead forever (typo, closed account). A soft bounce is temporary (full mailbox, server hiccup).
— Step 1: After every send, open your bounce report.
— Step 2: ✅ Remove all hard bounces from your list immediately. Keeping them quietly damages your sender reputation.
— Step 3: Leave soft bounces alone for now. If the same address soft-bounces 3 sends in a row, then remove it too.
Why it matters: mailbox providers watch your bounce rate. Under 2% keeps you trusted; above that, more of your mail slides toward spam.
Homework: find your last bounce report and count the hard bounces.
