Google quietly flipping paragraph boxes to lists
09:15 UTC — We're hearing from a SERP-monitoring vendor that a batch of long-standing paragraph snippets flipped to list format overnight on procedural queries ('how to', 'steps to', 'ways to'). The pages that survived the flip already had an ordered list further down the article. The ones that lost the box had answers buried in prose.
Why it matters: if your target query has any sequence or enumeration intent, hedge your format. Keep the 40-60 word paragraph answer for the current box, but seed a clean numbered list lower on the page so you survive the next format swap.
Unconfirmed scale, but multiple people flagged the same window. Watching this.
